NUMOKSHA (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates the website numoksha.in and provides personalized Chaldean numerology reports. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

Identity information: first, middle and last name, date of birth and gender, which the Chaldean calculation uses. Time and place of birth are optional: they are not used by the Chaldean calculation, are printed on your report cover if you give them, and are kept for future Vedic features.
Contact information: email address (via Google Sign-In or direct entry) and mobile number, where you provide one for order updates, manual services or the mobile-number reading.
Free calculator (Reveal My Numbers): we keep a record of each reading, with the name, birth details and any email or mobile number typed, and the numbers worked out. If you are signed in, it is linked to your account; if not, to a random ID kept in your browser. We use it to understand how the calculator is used and to improve our service. If you are signed in, the calculator asks before saving anything to your profile.
NUMOKSHA Assistant: we keep the messages you send to the assistant and its replies, linked to your account if you are signed in, or to a random ID kept in your browser if you are not. We use them to answer support questions and to improve the assistant.
Partner information (for matchmaking reports): The same identity information for partners, family members, or business associates, as you provide.
Child information (for Baby Naming and parent-child Matchmaking): the child's name or intended name, date of birth and, where given, time and place of birth. See Section 9 on parental consent.
Payment information: Processed by Razorpay; we do not store credit/debit card or banking details on our servers.
Communications: Messages you send through contact forms or support requests.
Saved people: the names and birth details you choose to save in your Friends & Family list, or, for Pro accounts, your client list. You can edit or delete them at any time from your profile or Pro Dashboard.
Account password: if you sign in with an email and password, the password is handled by Google Firebase Authentication and stored there only in hashed form; we never see or store it.

2. Google Sign-In and Google User Data

You can sign in to NUMOKSHA with your Google account. When you do, Google shares only your basic profile with us, and only after you agree on Google's consent screen:

Your name and profile picture (Google’s “profile” permission)
Your email address (Google’s “email” permission)
A unique Google account ID that lets you sign in again (“openid”)

We do not request or access any other Google data: not your Gmail, contacts, calendar, Drive files or anything else in your Google account.

How we use it

To create your NUMOKSHA account and sign you in
To show your name on your dashboard and profile
To send your reports, receipts and order updates to your email address
To link your orders and reports to your account so you can see them in your dashboard

How we store and share it

Your name, email address and account ID are stored in Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore) and are used only by NUMOKSHA to provide the service described above. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers listed in Section 4 where they need it to run the service (for example, Resend to deliver your report email).

Deleting your data or removing access

You can ask us to delete your account and all data linked to it at any time by emailing numoksha9@gmail.com; we complete deletion within 30 days. You can also remove NUMOKSHA's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account settings, under Security, Third-party apps and services (myaccount.google.com/permissions).

NUMOKSHA's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3. How We Use Your Information

Generate personalized Chaldean numerology reports
Deliver reports via email (PDF attachments)
Process payments and issue receipts
Send service-related communications and order confirmations
Provide customer support
Improve our service and detect fraud or abuse
Comply with legal obligations

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share information only with trusted service providers who help us operate NUMOKSHA:

Google Firebase: User authentication, data storage (Firestore)
Razorpay: Payment processing (PCI-DSS compliant)
Anthropic: report text generation; the name and birth details for a report are sent over an encrypted connection and handled per Anthropic's API data policy
Resend: Email delivery for reports and notifications
Browserless.io: PDF generation for reports
Vercel: Website hosting

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Retention

Account and report data is retained as long as your account is active.
You may request deletion at any time by emailing numoksha9@gmail.com.
After deletion, residual data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before permanent removal.
Legal/tax records (such as payment invoices) are retained as required by Indian law (typically 7 years).

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We may use analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

7. Your Rights Under India's DPDP Act 2023

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate or outdated information
Withdraw consent for data processing
Request deletion of your personal data
Lodge a grievance with India's Data Protection Board

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, Firebase Authentication, and access controls. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. You share information at your own risk.

9. Children's Privacy and Parental Consent

NUMOKSHA accounts and purchases are for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly accept accounts from minors; if you believe a minor has created one, contact us and we will remove it.

Some reports are about a child: Baby Naming, and the parent-child variant of Matchmaking. In line with Section 9 of the DPDP Act 2023, a child's details may be submitted only by that child's parent or legal guardian, and by placing such an order you confirm that you are the parent or guardian and that you consent to the processing on the child's behalf. We use a child's details solely to prepare the report you ordered. We do not use them for marketing, tracking, behavioural monitoring or profiling, and we delete them on your request through the process in Section 5.

10. International Users

Your data is primarily stored on servers in the Asia-South region (Mumbai, India). By using NUMOKSHA, you consent to this storage and processing.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the homepage. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
